“Dark Life by Kat Falls. I picked this book up on discount at a Scholastic book fair and couldn’t for the life of me understand why it didn’t sell out for the cover price. The world itself (ours in the far future) at first feels completely unbelievable but by the time you close the book you are convinced that you have seen the future. Excellent pacing, characterization, and action. I couldn’t recommend it more.”
