We asked A.J. Cosmo to tell us about his favorite book; he cheated and gave us two:
Current favorite is When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead, closely tied with Neil Gaiman’s The Graveyard Book. I read a lot of children’s literature so I’m sure this will change soon.
When You Reach Me is clever, well-drawn, and perfectly captures a genuine feeling of childhood (and then throws in a sci-fi twist).
The Graveyard Book is just ridiculous in its show of skill. The setting and characters are imaginative, well researched, and believable. The world is at once unique and familiar, and I couldn’t be more jealous of Gaiman’s skill.
Check them both out if you haven’t already.
